Workforce Professionals Training Institute (WPTI)

Since its founding in 2004, WPTI has become the preeminent non-profit training and technical assistance intermediary for New York City’s workforce development community. The organization has trained thousands of workforce practitioners from over 350 programs and organizations that collectively serve over 500,000 jobseekers. As a standalone, non-political organization, WPTI provides an inclusive bridge among providers, funders and government agencies that contribute to building NYC’s workforce.

WPTI provides great staff trainings and policy papers on their website, as well as a new Workforce Hub initiative.

Founded in 1997, the New York City Employment and Training Coalition (NYCETC) supports the workforce development community to ensure that every New Yorker has access to the skills, training, and education needed to thrive in the local economy and that every business is able to maintain a highly skilled workforce.

We recommend following their NYCETC Workforce Weekly Newsletter and attend their Annual Conference in September.
